Penny Tile Vase

Tiny tiles, each one made and glazed by hand, cover the surface of this three tiered ceramic stoneware vase. Each row of tiles is painted in a different color or pattern of glaze - a favorite way of working for me. Some of the colors include deep, rich blues, speckled pink, patterned black shapes on terracotta, green and turquoise glazes. Each tile had time spent on it to be made, finished, and put into place. It’s a slow labor of complete love, grouted and ready for fresh flowers or a spot in your home.
